KS3 Mathematics

Students follow a 5 year scheme of work taking them from Year 7 through to Year 11. They study topics from the following main areas:

  • Algebra
  • Geometry
  • Number
  • Probability
  • Ratio, Proportion and Rates of Change
  • Statistics

We use a wide variety of resources and activities to make lessons engaging and accessible yet challenging to all students. From Countdown to loopcards, textbooks and worksheets to maths jigsaws and dominoes, all students can improve their understanding of mathematics.

Students do a progress test after each small unit of work and a full past paper each term. This allows us to monitor their progress, and support any student who may not be making the expected progress for them as an individual.
